Invented by Audrey Eyton and published in 1982 The F-Plan Diet has been one of Britain's best sellers. The F-Plan diet is high in fibre and cuts the fat out of your diet, but it demands that you consume a large amount of carbohydrates. The diet aims to fill you up with a low calorie food that takes a long time to digest. The problem with this is energy, fibre is not a high energy food. You might feel full longer but you will also feel lethargic.
I personally do like that the Diet bans processed and refined sugars and flour and asks you to consume only whole wheat and brown sugar. This is better than the refined and processed foods but still leaves room for improvement. Not eating enough fibre can result in developing diseases such as bowel cancer, constipation, varicose veins ad hemorrhoids. Some weight loss should occur but not for a sustained length of time.
Fibre intake can block the absorption of your recommended daily dosage of vitamins and reduce certain others. Although it is a good idea to cut out the refined and processed foods and consuming more fibre is good for your overall health, I would recommend a diet that is more well rounded and address all you ailments, and dietary needs.
