Dr Herman Tarnower invented the Scarsdale Diet in the late 70's. Based on a mixture of artificial sweeteners and appetite suppressants it incorporates a food diet program that only allows certain fruits, vegetable and lean animal fat. It asks that you adhere to a strict draconian diet that only allows a calorie absorption of approximately 1000 calories a day.

I do not Recommend this diet because eating 1500 calories a day will not only make sure that you consume enough to maintain a high level of health, it will also make you lose weight.
